Before you slow down or stop suddenly, what should you do first?

لماذا؟
المركبة التي تسير خلفك عن قرب قد تصطدم بك إذا فرملت دون إنذار. تنص القاعدة 161 من قانون الطريق على استخدام المرايا في وقت مبكر كافٍ قبل تغيير السرعة، لتعرف ما خلفك قبل أن تُبطئ.
A vehicle following too closely could run into you if you brake without warning. Rule 161 of The Highway Code says you should use your mirrors in good time before changing speed, so you know what is behind you before you slow down.
