What does 'braking distance' mean?
ماذا تعني "مسافة الكبح" (braking distance)؟
- The distance travelled while you decide to brakeالمسافة التي تُقطع أثناء اتخاذك قرار الكبح
- The total of thinking and braking togetherمجموع مسافة التفكير والكبح معاً

لماذا؟
تصف القاعدة 126 من قانون الطريق مسافة الكبح (braking distance) بأنها المسافة التي تقطعها السيارة بعد الضغط على الفرامل حتى تتوقف تماماً. وبإضافتها إلى مسافة التفكير (thinking distance) تتكوّن مسافة التوقف الإجمالية.
Rule 126 of The Highway Code describes braking distance as the distance the car travels once the brakes are applied until it comes to a complete stop. Added to your thinking distance, it makes up the overall stopping distance.
