لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 198 من قانون الطريق على أن ممر البجع (pelican crossing) الممتدّ في خط مستقيم يُعدّ ممرًا واحدًا حتى لو كان به جزيرة وسطية، فانتبه للمشاة القادمين من الجهة الأخرى وأفسح لهم الطريق.
Rule 198 of The Highway Code says a pelican crossing that goes straight across the road is one crossing, even when there is a central island. Watch for and give way to pedestrians coming from the far side.
