You are keeping a car off the road and do not want to tax or insure it. What must you do?
تحتفظ بسيارة خارج الطريق ولا تريد ترخيصها أو تأمينها. ماذا يجب أن تفعل؟
- Nothing, as an untaxed car needs no paperworkلا شيء، فالسيارة غير المرخّصة لا تحتاج إلى أوراق
- Sell it within 14 daysتبيعها خلال 14 يوماً
- Return the number plates to the DVLAتعيد لوحات الأرقام إلى هيئة الترخيص DVLA
- Make a SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) to the DVLAتقدّم إخطار SORN (إخطار بعدم استخدام المركبة على الطريق) إلى هيئة الترخيص DVLAإجابة صحيحة
لماذا؟
إذا أخرجت مركبة عن الطريق وتوقفت عن ترخيصها وتأمينها، يجب أن تُبلغ هيئة الترخيص DVLA بتقديم إخطار SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification). ثم يجب أن تبقى المركبة خارج الطرق العامة، مثلاً في ممر خاص أو مرآب. وضريبة المركبة مذكورة ضمن المستندات في الملحق الثالث (Annex 3) من قانون الطريق.
If you take a vehicle off the road and stop taxing and insuring it, you must tell the DVLA by making a SORN, a Statutory Off Road Notification. The vehicle must then be kept off public roads, for example on a drive or in a garage. Vehicle tax is listed among the documents in Annex 3 of The Highway Code.
