لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 132 من قانون الطريق على أن المسامير الصفراء (amber) تحدّد الجزيرة الوسطى لطريق مزدوج أو طريق سريع، لترى الحاجز الأوسط في الظلام. أما المسامير الحمراء فتحدّد الحافة اليسرى، والخضراء تحدّد حواف خلجان التوقّف والطرق الفرعية المنحدرة.
Rule 132 of The Highway Code says amber studs mark the central reservation of a dual carriageway or motorway, so you can see the middle barrier in the dark. Red studs mark the left edge and green studs mark lay-by and slip-road edges.
