A train has passed the level crossing but the red lights keep flashing. What does this mean?
مرّ قطار من معبر السكة الحديد لكن الأضواء الحمراء ما زالت تومض. ماذا يعني ذلك؟
- The lights are faulty, so you can crossالأضواء معطّلة، فيمكنك العبور
- Another train is coming, so keep waitingقطار آخر قادم، فواصِل الانتظارإجابة صحيحة
- You may cross if you are quick about itيمكنك العبور إذا أسرعت
- The barrier is about to lift for youالحاجز على وشك الارتفاع لك
لماذا؟
إذا استمرّت الأضواء الحمراء في الوميض بعد مرور القطار، فذلك يعني أن قطارًا آخر قادم. تنص القاعدة 293 من قانون الطريق على وجوب مواصلة الانتظار حتى تنطفئ الأضواء ويُرفع الحاجز.
If the red lights keep flashing after a train has passed, it means another train is coming. Rule 293 of The Highway Code says you must keep waiting until the lights stop and the barriers open.
