What does 'thinking distance' mean?

لماذا؟
تقسم القاعدة 126 من قانون الطريق مسافة التوقف الإجمالية إلى مسافة تفكير (thinking distance) ومسافة كبح (braking distance). ومسافة التفكير هي ما تقطعه السيارة أثناء ملاحظتك للخطر ورد فعلك، قبل أن تبدأ الفرامل في إبطائك.
Rule 126 of The Highway Code splits overall stopping distance into thinking distance and braking distance. Thinking distance is how far the car travels while you notice a hazard and react, before the brakes start to slow you down.
