In stop-start town traffic, why is following too closely dangerous?
في حركة المرور المتقطّعة داخل المدينة، لماذا يُعدّ الاتّباع القريب جداً خطيراً؟

لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 126 من قانون الطريق على ألا تقترب أبداً أكثر من مسافة توقفك. ففي المرور المتقطّع تكبح المركبات فجأة، لذا لا يترك الاتّباع القريب جداً مجالاً لرد الفعل وقد يسبّب اصطداماً من الخلف (nose-to-tail).
Rule 126 of The Highway Code says never get closer than your stopping distance. In stop-start traffic vehicles brake suddenly, so following too closely leaves no room to react and can cause a nose-to-tail collision.
