لماذا؟
تنصح القاعدة 160 من قانون الطريق باختيار تُرس أدنى (lower gear) عند القطر نزولاً كي يساعد كبح المحرك في التحكم بسرعتك. فالوزن الزائد يطيل الكبح، لذا احفظ أيضاً فجوة أكبر بكثير من المعتاد.
Rule 160 of The Highway Code advises selecting a lower gear when towing downhill so engine braking helps control your speed. The extra weight lengthens braking, so also keep a much bigger gap than usual.
