لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 126 من قانون الطريق على أن مسافات التوقف تزداد كثيرًا في سوء الأحوال — الضعف على الأقل في المطر، وحتى عشرة أضعاف على الجليد. اترك مسافة أكبر بكثير عن المركبة التي أمامك لتتمكّن من التوقف بأمان.
Rule 126 of The Highway Code says stopping distances increase greatly in bad weather — at least double in the wet and up to ten times greater on ice. Leave a much larger gap to the vehicle in front so you can stop safely.
