Vulnerable road users
You are turning into a side road. A cyclist is riding straight ahead on your left. What should you do?
- Turn quickly across in front of the cyclist
- Expect the cyclist to stop and let you turn
- Give way and do not cut across the cyclist going aheadCorrect

Why?
Rule H3 of The Highway Code says you should not cut across cyclists going ahead when you turn into or out of a junction. Give way to them, even where they are in a cycle lane.
