You are turning left into a side road and a pedestrian has started to cross it. What should you do?
تنعطف يساراً إلى طريق جانبي وقد بدأ أحد المشاة بعبوره. ماذا يجب أن تفعل؟
- Give way and let the pedestrian finish crossingأفسح الطريق ودع المشاة يُكمل عبورهإجابة صحيحة
- Turn quickly before they reach your sideانعطف بسرعة قبل أن يصل إلى جهتك

لماذا؟
المشاة الذين يعبرون الطريق الذي تنعطف إليه لهم الأولوية الآن بموجب القواعد المُحدّثة. تنص القاعدتان 170 وH2 من قانون الطريق على إفساح الطريق للمشاة الذين يعبرون أو ينتظرون عبور الطريق الذي تنعطف إليه؛ وإن كانوا قد بدأوا العبور فلهم الأولوية.
Pedestrians crossing the road you are turning into now have priority under the updated rules. Rule 170 and rule H2 of The Highway Code say you should give way to pedestrians crossing or waiting to cross the road into which you are turning; if they have started, they have priority.
