You are a new driver in your first two years after passing. Why should you take extra care to avoid penalty points?

لماذا؟
خلال فترة الاختبار (probationary period) التي مدتها سنتان بعد اجتياز اختبارك الأول، فإن الحصول على 6 نقاط جزائية أو أكثر يؤدي إلى إلغاء رخصتك، وبعدها يجب إعادة التقديم وإعادة كلا الاختبارين. أما السائقون الخبيرون فيواجهون ذلك عند 12 نقطة فقط. وهذه العقوبات مذكورة في الملحق الخامس (Annex 5) من قانون الطريق.
During the two-year probationary period after passing your first test, getting 6 or more penalty points causes your licence to be revoked, after which you must reapply and retake both tests. Experienced drivers only face this at 12 points. These penalties are listed in Annex 5 of The Highway Code.
