You approach roadworks controlled by temporary traffic lights showing red. What must you do?
تقترب من أعمال طريق (roadworks) تنظّمها إشارات ضوئية مؤقتة تُظهر اللون الأحمر. ماذا يجب أن تفعل؟
- Treat them as advisory and drive through slowlyاعتبرها إرشادية وامرّ ببطء
- Follow the car in front through, even on redاتبع السيارة التي أمامك للمرور حتى على الأحمر
- Ignore them if you cannot see any workersتجاهلها إن لم ترَ أي عمّال

لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 288 من قانون الطريق على أنه في أعمال الطريق يجب أن تطيع كل اللافتات والإشارات، بما فيها الإشارات الضوئية المؤقتة، وألا تتجاوز أي حد سرعة مؤقت. فهي تنظّم قسماً ضيّقاً أو مشتركاً، لذا انتظر الضوء الأخضر.
Rule 288 of The Highway Code says at roadworks you must obey all signs and signals, including temporary traffic lights, and must not exceed any temporary speed limit. They control a narrow or shared section, so wait for green.
