Ahead, an oncoming vehicle is about to pass some parked cars on its own side of the road. What should you anticipate?

- It will always wait for you, so no action is neededستنتظرك دائماً، فلا حاجة لأي تصرّف

لماذا؟
تقول القاعدة 163 من قانون الطريق إن عليك إفساح الطريق للمركبات القادمة قبل تجاوز السيارات المتوقفة أو العوائق على جانبك — والعكس صحيح. فقد ينتقل السائق القادم إلى جانبك ليتجاوز، لذا توقّع ذلك (القاعدة 146) وكن مستعداً للتباطؤ.
Rule 163 of The Highway Code says give way to oncoming vehicles before passing parked cars or obstructions on your side — and the same applies in reverse. An oncoming driver may pull onto your side to pass, so anticipate this (Rule 146) and be ready to slow.
