You are following a cyclist who is approaching a drain cover and some potholes. What should you expect?
تسير خلف راكب دراجة (cyclist) يقترب من غطاء بالوعة (drain cover) وبعض الحفر. ماذا تتوقع؟
- The cyclist will ride straight over them without movingسيمرّ فوقها مباشرة دون أن يتحرك
- The cyclist will stop and get off the bikeسيتوقف وينزل عن الدراجة
- The cyclist will speed up to jump over themسيُسرع ليقفز فوقها
- The cyclist may suddenly move out to avoid them, so give plenty of roomقد يتحرك فجأة جانباً لتفاديها، فامنحه مساحة واسعةإجابة صحيحة
لماذا؟
تقول القاعدة 213 من قانون الطريق إن راكبي الدراجات قد يحتاجون فجأة إلى تفادي أغطية البالوعات والحفر والأسطح غير المستوية وقد يغيّرون اتجاههم. امنحهم مساحة واسعة وكن مستعداً لحركة مفاجئة.
Rule 213 of The Highway Code says cyclists may suddenly need to avoid drain covers, potholes and uneven surfaces and may change direction. Give them plenty of room and be ready for a sudden move.
