You are approaching a zebra crossing and see people waiting at the kerb. What should you do?
تقترب من ممر مشاة مخطط (zebra crossing) وترى أشخاصاً ينتظرون عند حافة الرصيف. ماذا تفعل؟
- Slow down and be ready to stop to let them crossخفف سرعتك وكن مستعداً للتوقف لتدعهم يعبرونإجابة صحيحة
- Speed up to pass before they step outأسرِع لتمرّ قبل أن يخطوا
- Wave them across while other traffic is still movingلوّح لهم بالعبور بينما لا يزال المرور الآخر يتحرك
- Sound your horn to make them waitاستخدم البوق لتجعلهم ينتظرون
لماذا؟
تقول القاعدة 195 من قانون الطريق إنه عند ممرات المشاة المخططة انتبه للمشاة المنتظرين للعبور وكن مستعداً للتباطؤ أو التوقف لتدعهم يعبرون. ولا تلوّح للناس بالعبور أبداً، فقد تكون مركبة أخرى قادمة.
Rule 195 of The Highway Code says at zebra crossings look out for pedestrians waiting to cross and be ready to slow down or stop to let them cross. Never wave people across, as another vehicle may be coming.
