You want to make a phone call while driving on the motorway. What should you do?
تريد إجراء مكالمة هاتفية أثناء القيادة على الطريق السريع. ماذا يجب أن تفعل؟
- Stop on the hard shoulder and make the callتوقف على كتف الطريق (hard shoulder) وأجرِ المكالمة
- Slow down in the left lane and call hands-free held to your earأبطئ في الحارة اليسرى واتصل بحرية اليدين مع رفع الهاتف إلى أذنك
- Pull onto the central reservationانعطف إلى الجزيرة الوسطى
- Wait until you leave at a service area or exit, then stop and callانتظر حتى تغادر عند محطة خدمة (service area) أو مخرج، ثم توقف واتصلإجابة صحيحة
لماذا؟
يجب ألا تتوقف على طريق سريع لمجرد استخدام الهاتف. تنص القاعدة 271 من قانون الطريق على أنه يجب ألا تتوقف على المسار أو كتف الطريق أو طريق الخروج أو منطقة الطوارئ إلا في حالة طارئة حقيقية. انتظر حتى تتوقف بأمان في محطة خدمة أو تغادر الطريق السريع.
You must not stop on a motorway just to use a phone. Rule 271 of The Highway Code says you must not stop on the carriageway, hard shoulder, slip road or emergency area except in a real emergency. Wait until you can stop safely at a service area or leave the motorway.
