You are turning left into a side road. Just before you turn, what is most important to check for on your left?
تنعطف يسارًا إلى طريق فرعي. قبل الانعطاف مباشرة، ما الأهم أن تتحقّق منه على يسارك؟
- Cyclists or motorcyclists coming up on your leftالدرّاجات أو الدرّاجات النارية القادمة على يساركإجابة صحيحة
- Whether the road behind is completely emptyما إذا كان الطريق خلفك خاليًا تمامًا

لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 182 من قانون الطريق على استخدام المرايا والإشارة يسارًا في وقت مناسب، ومراقبة المرور القادم على يسارك قبل الانعطاف، خاصةً الدرّاجات (cyclists) والدرّاجات النارية. ولا تتجاوز قبل الانعطاف يسارًا مباشرة.
Rule 182 of The Highway Code says to use your mirrors and signal left in good time, and to watch out for traffic coming up on your left before you turn, especially cyclists and motorcyclists. Do not overtake just before turning left.
