On a motorway in good, dry conditions, what is the smallest safe time gap to keep behind the vehicle in front?

لماذا؟
تطبّق القاعدة 126 من قانون الطريق قاعدة الثانيتين (two-second rule) على الطرق الأسرع، ومنها الطرق السريعة، في الظروف الجيدة. وعلى هذه الطرق عالية السرعة تمثّل فجوة الثانيتين مسافة طويلة، لذا لا تدعها تقلّ عن ذلك أبداً.
Rule 126 of The Highway Code applies the two-second rule on faster roads, including motorways, in good conditions. On these high-speed roads a two-second gap still represents a long distance, so never let it drop below that.
