You are approaching road humps and other traffic-calming features. What should you do?
أنت تقترب من مطبّات صناعية (road humps) وغيرها من وسائل تهدئة المرور. ماذا يجب أن تفعل؟
- Speed up between the humps to save timeأسرِع بين المطبّات لتوفير الوقت
- Drive on the wrong side to avoid the humpsقُد على الجانب الخاطئ لتتفادى المطبّات
- Sound your horn as a warningاستخدم المنبّه للتحذير
- Reduce your speed and keep it low along the whole stretchخفّض سرعتك وأبقِها منخفضة على طول الامتداد كلّهإجابة صحيحة
لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 153 من قانون الطريق على أن وسائل تهدئة المرور مثل المطبّات (road humps) والاختناقات موجودة لإبطائك. خفّض سرعتك عند الاقتراب وحافظ على سرعة منخفضة على طول الامتداد المهدّأ كلّه.
Rule 153 of The Highway Code says traffic-calming features such as road humps, chicanes and narrowings are there to slow you down. Reduce your speed as you approach and maintain a reduced speed along the whole calmed stretch.
