A tram has stopped at a stop without a raised platform. What must you not do?

  • Wait behind the tram
  • Watch for passengers stepping off
  • Drive between the tram and the left-hand kerb
    Correct
  • Follow the road markings

Why?

Rule 303 of The Highway Code states you MUST NOT drive between a tram and the left-hand kerb when it has stopped to pick up passengers. If there is no signed route past, wait until the tram moves off.
