Road and traffic signs
You see this blue sign in the middle of the road. What does it mean?
- Turn left at the next junction
- No left turn
- Keep to the left of the obstructionCorrect
- There is a left bend ahead
Why?
A blue circle gives a mandatory instruction. The arrow pointing down to the left means keep left, telling you to pass to the left of a traffic island or obstruction. Rule 109 of The Highway Code says you must obey signs giving orders.
