Vulnerable road users
You are waiting to pull out of a junction. Why should you look carefully for motorcyclists?
- Motorcyclists always have to give way to cars
- Motorcycles are slower than cars so are easy to see
- They are small and can be hard to see, so are easily missedCorrect
- They are not allowed on the same roads as cars
Why?
Rule 211 of The Highway Code warns that motorcyclists and cyclists are often hard to see, especially at junctions. Look out for them carefully before you emerge.
