You have stopped at a zebra crossing for a pedestrian. Should you wave them across?
توقفت عند معبر مشاة (zebra crossing) لأحد المشاة. هل تلوّح له بالعبور؟
- Yes, wave them across so they know it is safeنعم، لوّح له بالعبور ليعرف أنه آمن
- No, waiting quietly is safer than waving them onلا، الانتظار بهدوء أأمن من التلويح لهإجابة صحيحة

لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 195 على ألّا تلوّح أو تومض بأضوائك أو تستخدم البوق لدعوة المشاة إلى العبور؛ فقد تقترب مركبة أخرى لا تستطيع التحكم بها. اكتفِ بالانتظار واترك المشاة يقرر متى يكون العبور آمناً.
Rule 195 says do not wave, flash your lights or use your horn to invite pedestrians across; another vehicle may be approaching that you cannot control. Simply wait and let the pedestrian decide when it is safe to cross.
