You want to park near a friend's house, but the only space is across a lowered kerb serving a driveway. What should you do?
تريد الركن قرب منزل صديق، لكن المكان الوحيد يقع أمام رصيف مُنخفض (dropped kerb) يخدم مدخل مرآب. ماذا تفعل؟
- Find another space and leave the dropped kerb clearابحث عن مكان آخر واترك الرصيف المنخفض خالياًإجابة صحيحة
- Park across it briefly since you will not be longاركن أمامه لفترة قصيرة لأنك لن تتأخّر
- Park there because it is the closest spaceاركن هناك لأنه أقرب مكان
- Block it fully, as no car is on the driveway nowسُدّه تماماً، فلا سيارة على المدخل الآن
لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 243 من قانون الطريق على ألّا تتوقف أو تركن حيث خُفِّض الرصيف لمساعدة مستخدمي الكراسي المتحركة أو أمام مدخل عقار. سدّ مدخل مرآب أو رصيف منخفض قلة مراعاة وقد يحبس الآخرين.
Rule 243 of The Highway Code says you should not stop or park where the kerb has been lowered to help wheelchair users or in front of an entrance to a property. Blocking a driveway or dropped kerb is inconsiderate and can trap others.
