You want to park near a friend's house, but the only space is across a lowered kerb serving a driveway. What should you do?
- Find another space and leave the dropped kerb clearCorrect
- Park across it briefly since you will not be long
- Park there because it is the closest space
- Block it fully, as no car is on the driveway now
Why?
Rule 243 of The Highway Code says you should not stop or park where the kerb has been lowered to help wheelchair users or in front of an entrance to a property. Blocking a driveway or dropped kerb is inconsiderate and can trap others.
