Attitude
You are following a driving-school car with dual controls that stalls and restarts slowly on a hill. What is the best attitude?
- Be patient and give the learner plenty of timeCorrect
- Sound your horn to make the instructor move on
- Drive close behind to hurry the car along
- Overtake at once, even where there is little room
Why?
Rule 147 of The Highway Code asks you to be understanding and patient, as other drivers may be inexperienced. A learner in a dual-control car is still practising, so hold back and give them time and space rather than pressuring them.
