On a narrow, quiet street a cyclist ahead is riding in the middle of the lane rather than near the kerb. What should you do?
- Drive close behind to make them move to the side
- Allow them to do so and wait to pass safelyCorrect

- Overtake at once through the small gap left
Why?
Rule 213 of The Highway Code says that on narrow or quiet roads and in slower traffic, cyclists may ride in the centre of the lane so they can see and be seen. Allow them to do this for their safety and only pass when there is enough room.
