At a pelican crossing the amber light is flashing and people are still on the crossing. What must you do?
عند معبر بيليكان (pelican crossing) يومض الضوء الكهرماني ولا يزال أشخاص على المعبر. ماذا يجب أن تفعل؟
- Drive on because amber means goسِر لأن الكهرماني يعني المرور
- Rev your engine to hurry them alongزمجر بمحرّكك لتستعجلهم
- Move slowly through the gap between themتحرّك ببطء عبر الفجوة بينهم
- Give way to the pedestrians on the crossingأعطِ الأولوية للمشاة الموجودين على المعبرإجابة صحيحة
لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 196 من قانون الطريق على أنه عندما يومض الضوء الكهرماني عند معبر بيليكان (pelican crossing) يجب أن تعطي الأولوية لأي مشاة لا يزالون على المعبر. ولا تتحرّك إلا بعد أن يخلو المعبر.
Rule 196 of The Highway Code says that when the amber light flashes at a pelican crossing you must give way to any pedestrians still on the crossing. Only move off once the crossing is clear.
