You are driving along a road with speed humps and narrow points (traffic calming). How should you drive?
تقود على طريق به مطبّات سرعة ونقاط ضيّقة (traffic calming). كيف ينبغي أن تقود؟
- Speed up between each humpأسرِع بين كل مطبّ وآخر
- Overtake cyclists quickly at the humpsتجاوز الدرّاجات بسرعة عند المطبّات
- Keep a low, steady speed along the whole stretchحافظ على سرعة منخفضة وثابتة على طول المسافة كلهاإجابة صحيحة
- Only slow down for the first humpأبطئ فقط عند المطبّ الأول
لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 153 من قانون الطريق على تخفيض السرعة عند وسائل تهدئة المرور (traffic calming) والحفاظ على سرعة منخفضة على طول المقطع كله. وامنح الدرّاجات والدرّاجات النارية مساحة للمرور عبر النقاط الضيّقة.
Rule 153 of The Highway Code says to reduce your speed at traffic calming features and keep a low speed along the whole stretch of road. Give cyclists and motorcyclists room to pass through the narrowings.
