Before towing a trailer, what should you check about its lights?
قبل قطر مقطورة (trailer)، ماذا يجب أن تفحص بخصوص أضوائها؟
- Nothing, as a trailer does not need any lightsلا شيء، فالمقطورة لا تحتاج إلى أي أضواء
- Only that the trailer has a number plate fittedفقط أن تكون للمقطورة لوحة أرقام مركّبة
- That its lights and indicators work through the car's electricsأن تعمل أضواؤها وإشاراتها عبر كهرباء السيارةإجابة صحيحة

لماذا؟
تتصل الأضواء الخلفية وأضواء الفرامل والإشارات في المقطورة بالسيارة عبر كهرباء عمود الجرّ (towbar electrics)، ويعتمد عليها السائقون الآخرون لقراءة إشاراتك. ينص الملحق السادس (Annex 6) من قانون الطريق على وجوب عمل الأضواء والإشارات (indicators)، لذا وصّلها واختبرها قبل الانطلاق.
A trailer's rear lights, brake lights and indicators connect to the car through the towbar electrics, and other drivers rely on them to read your signals. Annex 6 of The Highway Code says lights and indicators must work, so plug in and test them before you set off.
