Road and traffic signs

No vehicles over the width shown (2.0 m)

What does this sign mean?

  • No vehicles over 2.0 metres wide
    Correct
  • No vehicles over 2.0 tonnes
  • The road narrows to two lanes
  • Keep a gap of at least 2.0 metres

Why?

The sideways arrows show a width limit: vehicles wider than 2.0 metres (6 feet 6 inches) must not pass, usually because of a narrow bridge or road section.
