Why should you not overtake as you approach the brow of a hill or a hump bridge?
لماذا يجب ألّا تتجاوز عند اقترابك من قمة تلّة أو جسر محدّب (hump bridge)؟
- You may damage your vehicle on the slopeقد تُلحق ضرراً بمركبتك على المنحدر
- You cannot see far enough ahead to be sure it is safeلا يمكنك الرؤية بعيداً كفايةً للتأكد من الأمانإجابة صحيحة

لماذا؟
الطريق خلف القمة مخفيّ، لذا قد تظهر مركبة قادمة دون وقت للتفاعل. تنص القاعدة 166 من قانون الطريق على أنه يجب ألّا تتجاوز حيث لا يمكنك الرؤية بعيداً كفايةً للتأكد من الأمان، مثل الاقتراب من قمة تلّة أو جسر محدّب (hump bridge).
The road beyond the crest is hidden, so an oncoming vehicle could appear with no time to react. Rule 166 of The Highway Code says you must not overtake where you cannot see far enough ahead to be sure it is safe, such as approaching the brow of a hill or a hump bridge.
