A vehicle in front has stopped at a pedestrian crossing to let people cross. What must you not do?
توقفت مركبة أمامك عند معبر مشاة لتترك الناس يعبرون. ما الذي يجب ألّا تفعله؟
- Wait patiently behind it until it moves offالانتظار بصبر خلفها حتى تنطلق
- Overtake the vehicle that has stopped at the crossingتجاوز المركبة التي توقفت عند المعبرإجابة صحيحة
- Keep well back from the crossing zig-zag linesالبقاء بعيداً عن خطوط المعبر المتعرّجة
- Watch for pedestrians who may still be crossingمراقبة المشاة الذين قد لا يزالون يعبرون
لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 191 على أنه يجب ألّا (MUST NOT) تتجاوز المركبة المتحركة الأقرب إلى المعبر أو المركبة الأقرب إليه التي توقفت لإعطاء الأولوية للمشاة. التجاوز هناك يحجب المشاة عن الرؤية ويعرّضهم للخطر.
Rule 191 says you MUST NOT overtake the moving vehicle nearest a crossing or the vehicle nearest the crossing that has stopped to give way to pedestrians. Overtaking there hides pedestrians from view and puts them in danger.
