Attitude
A vehicle in front has stopped at a pedestrian crossing to let people cross. What must you not do?
- Wait patiently behind it until it moves off
- Overtake the vehicle that has stopped at the crossingCorrect
- Keep well back from the crossing zig-zag lines
- Watch for pedestrians who may still be crossing
Why?
Rule 191 says you MUST NOT overtake the moving vehicle nearest a crossing or the vehicle nearest the crossing that has stopped to give way to pedestrians. Overtaking there hides pedestrians from view and puts them in danger.
