Another driver is behaving aggressively towards you, sounding their horn and gesturing. What is the safest response?
- Gesture and shout back to stand your ground
- Brake sharply to punish them for tailgating
- Race away to prove you are the better driver
- Stay calm and, if needed, pull over until they passCorrect
Why?
Rule 147 says do not allow yourself to become agitated or involved if someone is behaving badly on the road, as it only makes things worse. Keep calm and, if you feel upset, pull over, calm down, and continue when you feel relaxed.
