An experienced driver builds up 12 or more penalty points within three years. What normally happens?

لماذا؟
بموجب قواعد تجميع النقاط (totting up)، فإن السائق الذي يجمع 12 نقطة جزائية أو أكثر خلال ثلاث سنوات يُمنَع عادةً من القيادة بحكم محكمة لمدة 6 أشهر على الأقل. والنقاط الجزائية والمنع موضّحة في الملحق الخامس (Annex 5) من قانون الطريق الذي يسرد عقوبات مخالفات القيادة.
Under the totting-up rules, a driver who collects 12 or more penalty points within three years is usually disqualified by a court for at least 6 months. Penalty points and disqualification are set out in Annex 5 of The Highway Code, which lists the penalties for driving offences.
