A driver who passed their test 8 months ago gets 6 penalty points. What happens to their licence?
سائق اجتاز اختباره منذ 8 أشهر يحصل على 6 نقاط جزائية. ماذا يحدث لرخصته؟
- They keep it but pay a small fineيحتفظ بها لكن يدفع غرامة صغيرة
- They get a warning letter onlyيحصل على خطاب تحذير فقط

لماذا؟
بموجب قواعد السائقين الجدد (New Drivers)، إذا حصلت على 6 نقاط جزائية أو أكثر خلال سنتين من اجتياز اختبارك الأول، تُلغى رخصتك. وعليك حينئذٍ إعادة التقديم للحصول على رخصة مؤقتة واجتياز اختباري النظري والعملي من جديد. والعقوبات مذكورة في الملحق الخامس (Annex 5) من قانون الطريق.
Under the New Drivers rules, if you get 6 or more penalty points within 2 years of passing your first test, your licence is revoked. You must then reapply for a provisional licence and pass both the theory and practical tests again. Penalties are listed in Annex 5 of The Highway Code.
