A low, bright sun is dazzling you so much that you can barely see the road ahead. What should you do?
شمس منخفضة وساطعة تُبهرك حتى بالكاد ترى الطريق أمامك. ماذا يجب أن تفعل؟
- Carry on at the same speed and hope it passesواصل بالسرعة نفسها آملاً أن تزول
- Turn on your rear fog light to warn othersشغّل ضوء الضباب الخلفي لتحذير الآخرين
- Slow down and, if necessary, stop until you can see clearlyأبطئ، وتوقّف عند الضرورة، حتى ترى بوضوحإجابة صحيحة
- Overtake the car in front to get out of the glareتجاوز السيارة التي أمامك للخروج من الوهج
لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 237 من قانون الطريق على أنك إذا أُبهرت بأشعة الشمس الساطعة فعليك أن تبطئ، وتتوقّف عند الضرورة. واستخدام واقية الشمس (sun visor) يساعد، لكن يجب ألّا تواصل القيادة بسرعة وأنت لا ترى الطريق أمامك بوضوح.
Rule 237 of The Highway Code says that if you are dazzled by bright sunlight you should slow down and, if necessary, stop. Using your sun visor helps, but you must never keep driving at speed when you cannot see the road ahead clearly.
