لماذا؟
بعض الأشياء إضافات اختيارية، أما معدات السلامة فليست كذلك. يُدرج الملحق السادس (Annex 6) من قانون الطريق أنظمة التحذير الصوتية مثل المنبّه (horn) ضمن ما يجب أن يعمل، إلى جانب الأضواء والفرامل والتوجيه والمسّاحات وأجهزة الغسل.
Some items are optional extras, but safety equipment is not. Annex 6 of The Highway Code lists audible warning systems such as the horn among the things that must be working, along with lights, brakes, steering, wipers and washers.
