What is the main problem with 'coasting', driving with the clutch down or in neutral for a long way?

لماذا؟
يلغي الانزلاق كبح المحرك الذي يساعد على ضبط سرعتك. تحذّر القاعدة 122 من قانون الطريق من أن الانزلاق يقلّل تحكّم السائق لأن السيارة قد تتسارع في المنحدر ويتأثر استجابة التوجيه، كما أنه لا يوفّر الوقود فعليًا.
Coasting removes the engine braking that helps hold your speed. Rule 122 of The Highway Code warns that coasting reduces driver control because the car may speed up downhill and steering response is affected, and it does not really save fuel.
