Your exhaust suddenly becomes very loud. What does this most likely mean?

لماذا؟
الصوت العالي المفاجئ يعني عادةً عادمًا متضرّرًا أو مثقوبًا، وقد يكون مزعجًا ومخالفًا للقانون ويُدخل الغازات إلى السيارة. ينص الملحق السادس (Annex 6) من قانون الطريق على وجوب عمل نظام العادم (exhaust system)، لذا أصلحه فورًا.
A sudden loud noise usually means a blown or holed exhaust, which can be noisy, illegal and let fumes into the car. Annex 6 of The Highway Code says the exhaust system must be working, so have it repaired promptly.
