Your car is fitted with a catalytic converter. Why must you use the correct unleaded fuel?
سيارتك مزوّدة بمحوّل حفّاز (catalytic converter). لماذا يجب أن تستخدم الوقود الخالي من الرصاص (unleaded) الصحيح؟
- Because using leaded fuel would damage the catalytic converterلأن استخدام الوقود المحتوي على الرصاص يُتلف المحوّل الحفّازإجابة صحيحة

لماذا؟
يغلّف الرصاص الموجود في البنزين المعادن داخل المحوّل الحفّاز (catalytic converter) ويُتلفه نهائيًا، فلا يعود قادرًا على تنظيف العادم. تذكّر القاعدة 123 من قانون الطريق السائقين بتقليل أثر مركبتهم على البيئة، والمحوّل الحفّاز السليم يحتاج إلى الوقود الخالي من الرصاص ليؤدي ذلك.
Lead in petrol coats the metals inside a catalytic converter and ruins it permanently, so it can no longer clean the exhaust. Rule 123 of The Highway Code reminds drivers to reduce their vehicle's impact on the environment, and a working catalytic converter needs unleaded fuel to do that.
