While braking you notice the brake pedal feels soft and the car pulls to one side. What should you do?
أثناء الفرملة تلاحظ أن دوّاسة الفرامل طرية وأن السيارة تنحرف إلى جانب. ماذا تفعل؟
- Keep driving as normal, as brakes often feel like thisتواصل القيادة كالمعتاد، فالفرامل غالبًا تكون هكذا
- Pump the pedal hard and ignore the pullingتضخّ الدوّاسة بقوة وتتجاهل الانحراف
- Turn the radio up so you cannot hear the noiseترفع صوت المذياع حتى لا تسمع الصوت

لماذا؟
الدوّاسة الطرية أو الانحراف إلى جانب قد يعني نقص سائل الفرامل أو اهتراء التيل أو تسرّبًا. ينص الملحق السادس (Annex 6) من قانون الطريق على وجوب أن تكون الفرامل بحالة عمل جيدة، لذا توقّف وافحص أي عطل في الفرامل قبل أن تكمل القيادة.
A soft pedal or pulling to one side can mean low brake fluid, worn pads or a leak. Annex 6 of The Highway Code says brakes must be in good working order, so stop and have any braking fault checked before you drive on.
