When may you sound your horn?
متى يجوز لك استخدام المنبّه (horn)؟
- While your vehicle is moving and you need to warn others you are thereأثناء تحرّك مركبتك وعندما تحتاج لتنبيه الآخرين بوجودكإجابة صحيحة
- To tell a slow driver in front to hurry upلتطلب من سائق بطيء أمامك أن يسرع
- While stationary in a built-up area late at night to greet a friendأثناء التوقف في منطقة مأهولة ليلًا لتحيّة صديق
- To show your anger at another road userلإظهار غضبك من مستخدم آخر للطريق
لماذا؟
المنبّه أداة تحذير وليس وسيلة لتوبيخ الآخرين. تنص القاعدة 112 من قانون الطريق على استخدامه فقط أثناء الحركة وعند الحاجة لتنبيه الآخرين بوجودك، وعدم استخدامه بعدوانية أو أثناء التوقف على طريق في منطقة مأهولة بين الساعة 11:30 مساءً و7:00 صباحًا.
The horn is a warning device, not a way to scold others. Rule 112 of The Highway Code says use it only while moving and when you need to warn others of your presence, and never sound it aggressively or while stationary on a road in a built-up area between 11.30 pm and 7.00 am.
