You are approaching a level crossing and the way is open. When should you drive onto the crossing?
تقترب من معبر سكة حديد (level crossing) والطريق مفتوح. متى ينبغي أن تدخل المعبر؟
- As soon as the barrier lifts, even if traffic is queuing aheadبمجرد رفع الحاجز، حتى لو كان هناك ازدحام أمامك
- Whenever the car in front moves, without checking furtherكلما تحرّكت السيارة أمامك، دون تحقّق إضافي
- Only when the road is clear on the other side, so you will not have to stop on the crossingفقط حين يكون الطريق خاليًا على الجانب الآخر حتى لا تضطر للتوقف على المعبرإجابة صحيحة

لماذا؟
تنص القاعدة 291 من قانون الطريق على أن تقترب من معبر السكة وتعبره بحذر؛ ولا تدخل المعبر حتى يكون الطريق خاليًا على الجانب الآخر، ولا تقترب كثيرًا من المركبة أمامك، حتى لا تعلق فوق المعبر أبدًا.
Rule 291 of The Highway Code says you should approach and cross a level crossing with care, and never drive onto it until the road is clear on the other side. Do not get too close to the vehicle in front, so you are never trapped on the crossing.
