At an equestrian crossing the push-button panel is mounted higher than on a pedestrian crossing. Why is this?

لماذا؟
ممرات عبور الخيالة (equestrian crossing) مخصّصة لراكبي الخيل. توضّح القاعدة 199 من قانون الطريق أن بها لوحة تحكّم أعلى ليتمكّن الراكب من تشغيل الممر دون النزول عن حصانه.
Equestrian crossings are made for horse riders. Rule 199 of The Highway Code explains that these crossings have a higher control panel so a rider can operate the crossing without getting down from the horse.
