Attitude

A cycle lane beside you is marked with a solid white line. What does this mean for you as a driver?

  • You may use it to overtake slower traffic
  • You must not drive or park in it during its hours
    Correct
  • You may park in it as long as no cyclist is there
  • You can drive in it whenever the road is busy

Why?

Rule 140 says you MUST NOT drive or park in a cycle lane marked by a solid white line during its times of operation. This keeps the space clear and safe for cyclists.
