Sudden gusts may push your vehicle off course

Why?

Rule 232 of The Highway Code explains that in high winds a sudden gust can blow a vehicle off course, especially in exposed places or when passing high-sided vehicles, bridges or gaps in a hedge. Hold the wheel firmly and be ready.
